Welcome to the Friends of Rustic Elegance

Our own wedding is of course where Rustic Elegance all started . You can read more about this on our “About Us” page. We wanted to share with you all of the vendors that we used for own rustic wedding. We can highly recommend them all from our personal experience.

New Universe Web Design

Although not actually used for our wedding, they are the creator of this site, so we thought we should give them a spot on the page. In the search for web designers that would be a good fit for us and our elegantly rustic dreams, New Universe Web Design was out of this world. See what we did there? They were attentive to our needs, listened to what we wanted to have included on our pages and were very easy to work with. We were able to get a custom website that looks and functions the way we wanted.

Bridal Hair by Jenny Cox

Jenny is a licensed professional hairstylist in Smithfield, NC. She specializes in on-location weddings making beautiful hairstyles for your special day! Cathy chose her for her talents and the convenience of having her come to the venue on our wedding day. Jenny is down to earth and has quickly become a good friend.

Brick & Mortar Events

We chose Brick & Mortar events as the place to have our wedding and reception. We were looking for a venue that had a rustic feel and we felt the brick walls and hanging mason jar lights fit us perfectly. Jerry and Bernadette are great people to work with and have really taken care of us.

The Looking Glass Photography

We met Lauren Vick of The Looking Glass Photography at a Starbucks and didn’t stop laughing the entire time. We had a great time during our initial meeting and when we left we felt like we had been good friends for years. She was willing to work within our budget for our engagement session and wedding photography.

Confectionate Cakes

We met Laura at Confectionate Cakes when we started our search for a cake that would be suitable for our smaller guest list. Most vendors were too expensive and not ready to work with us for our small group. When we met for a tasting, the cake was delicious and Laura was so friendly and willing to work with us, we fell in love. She even sketched a picture of our cake and it fit the picture we had in mind perfectly. Laura even offered to help us with our cake topper.

Flowers by the Neuse

We only wanted a few things floral for our wedding. One thing that we really wanted was a baby’s breath garland to go around our cake and to put on the mantle at Brick & Mortar. We went to several shops in search of this and only ran into headaches. We had to try and explain what we wanted and with one shop we even had to explain to them how to do their job to make it. This was not the case with Flowers by the Neuse. We met Billy and he knew exactly what we wanted and just how to make it. He even offered to go over to Brick & Mortar and take some measurements for us. We were so relieved to find him and Flowers by the Neuse.

Ceremonies by Katherine

We met with Katherine at a quaint coffee shop in Garner. We were still undecided about the type of ceremony we wanted and the type of officiant that we wanted to go with. She was very professional with the material that she presented to us. She answered all our questions with ease and we knew that she had plenty of experience to be able to give us a ceremony that we would remember and be proud of.

James Ryan Films

We were toying with the idea of hiring a videographer and had just about decided not to bother because of the high cost involved. Enter stage right “James Ryan Films”. Our meeting with James was very informative as he described his services and the product that we would receive in the end. He provides raw footage of the ceremony which is exactly what we were looking for.

J&L Carriage

Riding off in a horse drawn carriage is about as rustic as it gets. What more can we say?! We had the bright idea when we saw a similar carriage at the Clayton Christmas parade. With a little Google work we found J&L Carriage. They responded to our inquiry quickly and offered very friendly service.

New York Bride & Groom

of Raleigh

New York Bride & Groom showroomBeing a huge fan of “Say Yes to the Dress”, Cathy really wanted to have that kind of an experience herself. Ladies! This is quoted verbatim from her Wedding Wire review of this vendor. “This was my one and only stop for my dress shopping. The selection is incredible and offers a wide variety of price ranges. I knew there was no way I wouldn’t find my dress here. Justin Alexander, Mori Lee, Sincerity, Kenneth Winston and many more are all here and economically priced too! I did 2 rounds of at least 7 dresses and then Shaunice would swipe some that I knew weren’t working for me and would come back quickly with alternates based on my feedback from the ones I tried on. Once we found THE DRESS, Erin came to also assist with recommended shapewear and offered samples of the colors my dress was available in, took final measurements and seamlessly closed my sale.

I had a party of 3 with me and the bridal suites had ample room for all of us plus 7 dresses at a time. There is a wall/tunnel of mirrors outside of the bridal suites available that offer top views plus 360 views so you can envision what your walk down the aisle will be like with your train.”

Diamonds Direct Crabtree

We know this is painfully obvious but this is where we got our rings. Chris got the engagement ring here and then we both went in to choose our bands. They have an excellent selection and are so helpful. It is a rather daunting task to pick out the perfect engagement ring. Chris had an idea of what he wanted for the proposal and the staff were more than willing to keep pulling out rings to look at until he settled on the one that was perfect. She said yes so it must have been the right one.

Gartner Studios

Believe it or not we found Gartner Studios through walmartstationery.com. Who knew?? We were able to design our save-the-dates from their templates and chose a mason jar on chalkboard. The pricing is very fair and economical. They displayed above and beyond customer service when they called us with a concern that we did not edit the return address on the outside envelope of the SAMPLE we were ordering before we made our final selection.

Ann’s Bridal Bargains

Sign up for their newsletter to receive their promotional codes. We saved so much with this method. We found a unique verse for our invitations that was worded as if the invite was coming from Cathy’s boys. We chose the all-in-one mailer to save additional costs from ordering separate RSVP cards and other inserts.

Sandals Resorts

What a better way to celebrate your honeymoon than at an all inclusive resort, where everything is included for you. As a travel agent, Cathy toured the resorts and has always wanted to return to visit. Chris is making that dream come true! Satisfaction is always a guarantee at Sandals with their exceptional value and impeccable attention to detail.

ForYourParty.com

Again, sign up for the newsletter for online discount codes. Many party items are available here and they have plenty of pattern options available. We found the sweetest personalized cocktail and cake napkins to match our theme.

Weddingstar

Chris proposed with chocolate kisses and cinnamon whiskey. We found the most adorable petite mason jars here. Our favors will be the mason jars filled with the chocolate kisses and a sample size of spiced whiskey tied to it with tulle ribbon.

Vistaprint

We researched their selection of wedding invitations and save the dates, but decided on the other vendor instead. However, Vistaprint has been very valuable to us for our promotional and marketing materials for Rustic Elegance. They provided a quality product for our business cards, magnets and rack cards.
